A Survey is being carried out the Ballycanew-Ballyoughter Community Development Association. This survey will be delivered to you over the next few days by our members We appreciate your help, the Development Association have been informed that funding for a Community Based CCTV Scheme from the Department of Justice and Equality. We hope to make an informative decision if this would be of benefit to our community. The Results will be Colated and reported back to you the Community, through Various Methods to be announced in the Local Notes Section of the paper. The Survey should only take 20 Mins to answer, and we appreciate your co-operation.
The little jobs service is now available in the Ballycanew and Ballyoughter areas. This project is run by WLD.
The service aims to provide small maintenance jobs in the homes of older people through the county of Wexford. To qualify for the service you will need to be in receipt of either a state or non-contributory pension. A yearly subscription of €20 will apply. THis is a once off annual subscription payment. The householder will be required to pay for any materials used. The service provides power washing small areas, installing hand rails, moving items to attic, hanging curtains, moving furniture, minor touch up decorating jobs, weeding and other small outdoor jobs, grass cutting in small gardens, potting plants installing security chains on doors, installing non wired smoke alarms.
All little jobs service staff will carry photographic ID and will only arrive by appointment. All handymen are all Garda Vetted and fully insured.
